Herttua Daycare, together with Käpylinna Daycare, forms a joint early childhood education unit. Herttua Daycare is located next to a forest in the Koskela district of Helsinki. The daycare has three separate playground areas where the groups spend time outdoors.
Our activities emphasize positive pedagogy, the development of a reading culture, and the recognition of family diversity. During the academic year 2025-2026, we focus on friendship and emotional skills, as well as enjoying books and reading experiences. The daycare also has an English-enriched preschool group.
The daycare center will relocate to temporary premises after the summer at Mäkelänkatu 84, 1st floor. We will provide more detailed information about the schedule and practical arrangements related to the move at a later time.

The main entrance
- The entrance stands out clearly and is illuminated. There is a canopy above the entrance.
- The doors connected to the entrance stand out clearly. Outside the door there is sufficient room for moving e.g. with a wheelchair. The door opens easily manually.

- The customer service point is located on the entrance floor.
- The doors in the facility stand out clearly.
- The facility has a toilet marked as accessible. One or both sides of the toilet seat lack a support rail.
